post the video... so we can see!

I doubt anything will happen. Loudoun is known for sweeping stuff like this under the rug...

You'll know tomorrow night when Indy takes the field, if the Administration, Athletic Director or Coach deems that behavior acceptable or not.

Shame on the Admin and Loudoun county school board if they are not following this issue on DCUM lax forum. This could be a big nothing. Maybe just some dumb parent exaggerating a minor issue after a game. Wow no big deal let it go

running 50 yards to slash an opponent after the game is over is no big deal?

He was going to get his goalie and a player got in the way? He was doing wind sprints after the game because his coach did not think he hustled enough? I heard the ref did not throw a flag so it was only a brush not a slash. Get over it and move on

OK now I really do not believe you. why would a ref throw a flag after the game is over? A time served penalty cannot be enforced on the next game. That does not even make sense. You are just making this up. Others asked you post a video or then just let it go

You can find the video on nfhs as previously posted.

DP. I don't know how to post a video but I just watched it to see what all the talk is about. Kid does run over after the game ends and stick check another kid's arm. Briar coach saw it and was going nuts. Ref saw it too and did throw a flag and jogged over to the scorer's table. Lots of discussion between the Briar coaches and refs after the game.

100% clear to anyone who watches video that 1) kid headed towards broad run players initially, 2) seemed to think better of it and veered off to get his goalie but then 3) crossed path with another broad run attack kid running to get his goalie and 4) decided to give him a brutal one handed slash on way by. Ref saw it, coach went nuts but ref decided not his problem since game was over.

DP. I know the teams and the coaches so I am very interested to see and decide for myself whether this is something or nothing, but I'm not interested enough to pay $79 for the NFHS package, so I hope someone posts the clip or at least says some other way of finding it online.

Yeah, I have no dog in this fight and I'm not judging either way. It wasn't the hardest check in the world but it was way after the game was over. No idea if anything will come of it.

Just to clear up the misstatements above
The teams were Independence and Broad Run not Briar
The ref did see it and did throw a flag (post game yes)
The ref did go to the table and file an official report
This was a hard slash with the stick to the opponents arm/ midsection.
Hard enough to drop the player to his knees.
The NFHS package is $12 a month. There is maybe a month left in the season.
This player is well known for doing things like this many different times.
Dad is the HC

I would not be surprised if one of the posters above is daddy trying to throw everyone off and minimize the situation.

I watched it on NFHS a few days ago after reading the initial postings on the incident. I star by saying that I think the Indy coach and his minions are bad for the game and have spoken with coaches and refs that have grown tired of his act long before he got the previous coach tossed so he could coach his boy and his buddies that he brought up through DS through their final three years at Indy. That being said, the tape shows a kid who happens to be the coaches kid throw a one handed wrap check at a defenseless player several seconds have the game has ended. Broad Run kid hurt by the check stops and doubles over. Far side official does see it and throws a flag. A referee then has to determine whether or not this should carry over until the future game where the kid and possibly the coach could be suspended as you can still eject a player or coach after the conclusion of the game. It appears as though the ref wants none of it and decides he rather leave after he initially came to the box to determine what course of action he would take. Indy coach meanwhile is having a discussion/arguing with the Broad Run coaches. On tape, it doesn't appear as though the Indy coach did anything to warrant any sort of action taken against him, but I wasn't there. The only suspension would have come against his son and that is a forced penalty of 1/3 of remaining games (seems harsh). Maybe a neutral observer that saw the game would feel differently. Its just isn't surprising to myself and others I have discussed the incident with that an Indy kid would react this way as this team takes on the identity of their coach.
