So funny this thread came back up. Just the other night I was thinking of OP and her family. Honestly. I am terrible with the search function or I might have resurrected the thread as well. How is your kiddo, OP? Big and fat and happy?

Seeing the original post was from January, I hope the problem has past for this parent, but wanted to share for others. Our son had reflux. We did not want to go the drug route if we could avoid it. So at 5 weeks old (and at our pediatrician's direction) we started adding rice cereal to our son's bottles (sometimes expressed milk, sometimes formula). This made the bottle more dense, making it easier to keep down in his belly. The other key was keeping him upright for 30 minutes after eating. If you try this be aware that eating rice so early could cause constipation, so be on the lookout for that. Note that you'll have to make the holes in the bottle nipple larger in order to let the mixture through. Worked for us.
