OP here.

The tube is out!!!

We removed it last night after an entire week of progressive increase. We are so proud of our little guy for fighting to learn to eat again. It's still a lot of work to feed him; for each feeding session, it's 45 minutes of calming into a somnolent state then another 60 minutes of dreamfeeding, all while we holding DS and doing squats since he seems to like that motion. Needless to say, my husband and I are shedding off whatever little extra weight we have but so incredibly worth it. We'll build on the fact that he can eat and slowly work to reduce the time and the conscious state of what is needed to have DS eat.

My son looks and act like a happy 4-month-old, TUBE FREE! Here's hoping it stays out for good.

Thanks DCUM for all your support.

So happy for all of you OP!

You and DH are going to be in awesome shape, no idea how you realized he liked the squats, lol. Mine liked gently bouncing on a yoga ball and LOVED the bath feeds (easier on mom's legs?)

I have tears in my eyes I am so happy for your family. You are amazing parents, I'm so sorry that so much of this was on your own, but you did it!

NP here: OP, I have been reading through this thread since inception and just wanted to thank you for sharing your story. I'm pregnant with my third and only had minor eating issues with DS#1 (zantac did the trick), but really feel for you and your family. You really have shown such amazing perseverance and strength during the last two months and to share this with us is truly a gift.

I'm so glad to hear that things are improving. All the best!

Terrific news. Im sure as he matures eating will get easier (and faster). I second the idea of a yoga ball--my sister's daughter would only sleep if she was bounced on that, might help (and gave her mom a really strong core)

again, congrats, and thanks for updating your virtual support community.
