Good grief.
When Trump tried to shut down flights from areas in which the pandemic was growing, he was called xenophobic by the left.
Don't try to rewrite history.
And, a reminder.... more people died under Biden. And, that was AFTER a vaccine was made available. And, many of those who died were vaccinated.
And, it was the LEFT and the Democratic governors who kept their economies and schools shuttered for lengthy periods of time.
The red states that opened early fared just fine and actually fueled the recovery.

And it isn't just COVID:

"Desantis did a great job handling COVID"
uhhhh data shows Florida had 4th highest rates of COVID deaths after the vaccines were available...

Flori-DUH.

It never ceases to be perversely entertaining to see how the actual facts and data keep blowing up the delusional right-wing narratives.

I stand by my assertion.....

https://nypost.com/2022/07/05/red-states-recovered-faster-from-covid-pandemic-than-blue-states-report/

Republican-run states such as Florida, Texas, Utah, and the Carolinas enjoyed a swifter economic recovery from the pandemic compared to Democratic-leaning states which saw residents and companies leave for lower-tax havens, according to a report.

Federal data shows that red states have seen their share of total US jobs grow beginning in February 2020, a month before the start of the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The Journal cites statistics from the Brookings Institution which found that GOP-run states added 341,000 jobs in the last two-and-a-half years.

During that same period, blue states lost some 1.3 million jobs.

States with Republican governors are leading the recovery from the Covid-19 economic shock, complicating President Joe Biden’s push for a new sweeping infusion of federal aid.

Of the 15 states that have returned to pre-pandemic levels of economic activity, 12 are led by Republican governors, Federal Reserve data shows. Of the 10 states reporting the lowest levels of activity since January 2020, seven — including New York, Pennsylvania and Illinois — are run by Democratic governors.

Red states have bounced back from the economic havoc wreaked by the COVID-19 pandemic faster than states run by Democrats, according to a new report.

Citing federal data and an array of studies, The Wall Street Journal reported that Republican-led states are "winning" the economic recovery in several measures.

The Journal pointed to a Brookings Institution analysis of Labor Department data showing that red states have added 341,000 jobs since February 2020, the month before shutdowns began, while blue states were still down 1.3 million jobs as of May of this year.

Another study by Moody's also confirmed the flight from blue states, showing the states that grew the most in population were nearly all red, starting with Florida, Texas and North Carolina. The states that saw the largest number of citizens flee were almost all blue, with California at the top of the list, followed by New York and Illinois.

I was much better off four years ago.

The question I ask..... how unlivable will our country be with another 4 years of the Biden administration?
And, I say "administration" because I don't think Biden will last another 4 years, but the people he has in decision-making positions will be.
They all have to go.

Our finances were markedly better.
Gas was more affordable as was food, automobiles, and many other goods.
We weren't as impacted by the regulatory machine that is the Biden administration.
And, we had far fewer illegal migrants residing in our area.
Our tax dollars weren't going to subsidize the education of college students who took loans and don't want to pay them back.
And, as a nation - we were safer. Biden's fecklessness has emboldened our enemies. And it all started with the Afghanistan withdrawal.

If your finances were better four years ago, you must be incompetent, which is verified by your misunderstanding of student loan relief and Afghanistan.

Amazing how gas prices dropped when demand went into a deep, dark hole.

Oh, sweetie.... there is NO misunderstanding on my part.

"The typical American household must spend an additional $11,434 annually just to maintain the same standard of living they enjoyed in January of 2021, right before inflation soared to 40-year highs, according to a recent analysis of government data."

Maybe Biden should turn that dial on the Resolute desk that controls gas prices?

The only thing Trump ever did in office was lower taxes for the wealthy - that's it. The rest of his time was spent golfing, watching TV in the residence until lunch time then knocking off at 4, ignoring security briefings and totally botching the COVID response. That's it.

Asking the question of whether you better off four years ago is stupid, especially with regards to Trump. Giving Trump credit for anything is like crediting the rooster for the rising of the sun.

To the extent that anything positive happened during the Trump administration, it was completely IN SPITE of Trump. The man personifies failing upward.
