Yes, unless you are also doing PGS testing. |
That's correct. My IVF included ICSI which was good as well. No genetic testing is included, or at least was included 3 years ago when I did IVF at SGF. |
how much is on average one IUI at Shady Grove |
I want to say it was about 3k total.. |
I paid $1800 per IUI. Initial cost of meds was about $180 and after that about $85. This is paying out of pocket. Costs for IVF as of 10/12/17 · IVF ICSI PGS with FET -Global ( 1 IVF cycle attempt ) : $17,400 Includes IVF cycle, Embryo Biopsy, Cryopreservation, & FET following the PGS analysis. · IVF ICSI PGS -Multi-Cycle ( 2 IVF cycle attempts with unlimited Frozen Embryo Transfers to one live birth) : $24,000 · IVF ICSI PGS -Shared Risk ( 6 IVF cycle attempts with unlimited Frozen Embryo Transfer to one live birth) : $28,000 |
Do the single cycle or two cycle fees include using all the embryos that are created? Or is it just a single transfer? Thanks |
Single transfer. |
What are the shared risk program requirements? AMH Cutoff? BMI? Anything else? |
Age cutoff is 39, according to their website. |
It is, but my doctor said that with approval you can do shared risk if you are past 39. I believe you have to start within a certain time frame of turning 39 though. |
We did shared risk with sg. It was $20k for us without icsi or pgs. Did 8 transfers. |
Question for you - did your SG Dr. push PGS? I know it's a hot topic these days and based on what I have read it's all subjective as to who is analyzing the embryos. So I am not sure if it's is really worth the extra $5K. Curious what your SG doctor said about PGS. |
As you get older, the greater chance your embryos will have a chromosomal abnormality. So someone in their 20s is at a lower risk vs someone in their late 30s/40s. I was 38 and PGS tested my embryos and found more than half were abnormal. When you're spending all this money I didn't want to risk getting pregnant and possibly terminate due to significant abnormalities. |
I am not sure that's accurate. If there is a missing chromosome, there is a missing chromosome. Nothing subjective about that. |
