VHSL Boys 2024 Season (Discussion and Scores)

Madlax top four is the same as the first rankings guy (likely the fake one). Suprising, but Madlax isn’t great at Public school rankings either so maybe that’s a bad thing.

I think Battlefield is stronger and beats Freedom next week but we will see. How SSSA keeps getting ranked at 4-12 is beyond me.

Nothing going on in Class 6 tonight. In other news:

Riverside @ Dominion - Should be a Riverside blowout but Dominion is unpredictable and played Freedom close and beat Briar Woods

Stone Bridge @ Broad Run - Would have said a Broad Run big win but Broad Run got killed by Briar Woods and Stone Bridge just played Robinson tough

Atlee @ Woodberry - I think Atlee can squeeze out a close win

I attended Yorktown's practice today and I figured I would share what I saw there. To start the patriots worked on some clearing and faceoff stuff with emphasis on keep the ball away from the poles. I imagine they were doing this in anticipation of most of their middies not being able to carry with Mcleans #21 or #22 on them. More on the defensive side the patriots seemed to be working on some zone, to me it seemed that they were stretching extra far out on the initiations against the zone. I would imagine they are zoning in order better control #3 and #4 as much of the remaining McLean offense are not really threats. Finally on the offensive end worked on avoiding and running away from slides, besides that it seems like they are playing much of their normal system.

Just thought I'd share with everyone, if I explained why they might be doing any of these drills wrong feel free to correct me as I'd love to know the real reason. Anyways have a great day everyone!

11-7 Robinson win

This game was tied 7-7 at one point but Stone Bridge put there backup goalie in to get some reps and.....

How can Robo be #1 with such a bad effort against a bad 5A school?

It was never tied 7-7. It was 7-6 at one point.

I guess they're #1 because they're 11-0 and have beaten Yorktown, McLean, Langley, and Madison. Agreed that this was not the best showing by the "top team."

Kids had a bad game…sue them. Not to mention, they really have not had a bad game prior to Stone Bridge.

Guy wants to help Mclean so bad he went and spied on a Yorktown practice, that is absolutely insane. Some Michigan football type stuff going on here. Have some integrity man.

Major faux pas. Coaches and schools don’t take kindly to that.

I did not do it to help McLean, I did it to inform the forum. Not to worry about any unfair advantage as I will be attending McLean’s practice too tonight and will of course share everything I see.

And creepy. it is so over the top that I wouldn't be surprised if someone from Yorktown, Langley, or wherever is trying to make McLean look bad. and for better or worse, it is working.

Woodworking, gardening, pickle ball, tennis, golf, books, podcasts, gambling, adultery, usury, or scrapbooking. There are many fruitful ways to use your time and yet you choose to “inform the forum”
