A better solution is to dissolve Gaza and the West Bank and place them under permanent control of Egypt and Jordan, as they were before 1967.

12,000 new homes in the West Bank this year. Israel did not retreat. They did the opposite.

What is wrong with building new homes in their country? We are currently in a housing crisis in the United States, we would do well to look at Israel’s successes in mass building to help address our concerns.

The West Bank is not part of "their country" according to every single country in the world. But uh, tell us more about these Israeli building successes. Four bureaus in the state department have notified Blinken that Israel may be violating international humanitarian law and that Israeli assurances that they are compliant were "neither credible nor reliable."

Blinken has to report to Congress by May 8 as to whether Israel's assurances that they are not violating US or international law is credible.

America is disillusioned by their friend Israel as Arabs are with their Palestinian friend . We need to offer no alliances to either side and let them be forced to ally with each other instead. That’s really the answer here.

Hamas never said they’d unarm. They said they’d stop throwing rockets and they’d accept Israel with 1967 borders (the same borders as today) but without the settlements and the general occupation. This isn’t unreasonable given the Us says the same thing. The occupation allows Israelis to arrest Palestinians and kill them at random or detain children. That was the reasoning behind Hamas taking hostages so I don’t see how the occupation is making Israel any safer. If the fear is Palestinians can’t live civilly , why do Israelis brag about the 20% Arab population ? What makes them any averse to homegrown terrorism than their cousin in Ramallah or Gaza?

I’d like to compare who lives civilly among the Jewish settlers in West Bank and the Israeli “Arabs”, some of whom apparently serve in the IDF. Of course Israel sees toddlers and grandmas in Gaza as more of a threat than Arab men in their army who maybe could be double agents given Hamas extensive funds . Israel under Netanyahu has not been very smart .
