Hi,
Tampax worked just fine before baby, but now, I am leaking and they seem to "fill up" after I go to the bathroom and then kind of start falling out. Does anyone have a tampon with applicator recommendation. Thanks. |
Have you tried going up a size? I had to go to Super Plus size! |
The shape of Tampax tampons bothered me too after having kids. I like Playtex and also use super plus. |
I've always used OB. They work better than just about anything else out there. |
I know you said with applicator - but ob is the only one that worked for me. Just get over your hang up of sticking your finger insider youself. |
Tampax never worked for me - Playtex opens evenly inside preventing the issues you mention. Start with Super and move up to Plus is you need to. |
I've always been an OB person, too. Very little problems with leakage. |
OB for me, too! |
If you want to try something other than tampons, I'm a big fan of the Diva Cup. I only use tampons in emergency situations now. |
OB are fantastic. And so much more discreet, you can put one in your pocket or even palm one on the way to the bathroom. They do (or at one point did) have a version with an applicator to get you hooked on the brand. |
I'm into OB as well. Just wondering, though, if anyone else has noticed a shortage at the stores lately?
I had to go to 3 stores to find the ones I like (ultra for heavy flow). 2 stores had none at all. I was wondering if they had been discontinued or something. I bought all they had once I finally found them. |
How do you get OB up in there? Sometimes if I'm very dry I have a hard time getting an applicator up in me, how to you get the dry cotton of the OB in you? |
I switch to OB for awhile - several years - but now have been able to go back to tampax |
LOL! I thought I was the only one with this problem!!! Why does no one talk about it???
I've never tried OB, so many people here have suggested it, I must give it a try. I hear the PP on the dryness, even a normal tampon can be a problem without the "gentle glide" applicator. About the Diva Cup, that always grossed me out. Don't you keep it up there for 24 hours? I have to think there would be a stink factor that would turn me off from that. The whole concept just creeps me out. Can the PP explain the details of the Diva Cup? |
It's not dry cotton, it has a smooth coating (they call it something along the lines of smooth glide or comfort). And it's smaller than a tampon with an applicator, so it's easier to get it in when dry. |
