What are the things of the past that you miss? Something that isn't available or done any more, not that you have aged out of it.
I miss step aerobics. Reading an actual newspaper with my morning coffee was nice. |
Nothing. I love the modern world. I'm 44 with teens and young adult kids.
You can read a paper newspaper with your morning cuppa, AND do step-aerobics (you Youtube, but maybe you can find an in-person class somewhere). |
People actually being present at events etc. Now everyone is on their phone. We went to the kindergarten concert and everyone had phones or ipads recording it. I feel like no one was even really watching it in real time. |
I miss the metabolism I had in my teens and 20s. |
Living in a world without everyone having an almost genetically attached phone. When I watch movies or tv from prior to everyone having mobiles, it amazes me to remember how people used to all have their head up, looking around them, not down looking at a phone. |
Being out in public and seeing other people looking around, at each other, or in front of them. It’s really tragic seeing everyone walking around staring at their phones constantly. |
Jinx! |
Joshua Tree National Park being empty. |
Fun, enriching stuff in public elementary school. |
They get mentioned every time one of these threads surfaces, but Jello Pudding Pops. |
My gym (OneLife) still has step aerobics classes. There's one tonight at 6:30 Germantown, One at 8:15 tomorrow in Olney. Lots of options. You can also still get the newspaper each morning. |
Came here to say this! |
TCBY
Penny candy |
I miss going to the library and browsing the stacks. |
Roy Rogers, ozone layer, Farlows with Champion sweatshirts. I think fashion has gone downhill significantly since the pandemic. Remember when nobody wore grey sweatpants? |
