Whether it's a dating profile photo or randomly during the day. There's something juvenile and/or feminine about them, am I right? Or maybe it's just men who seem to have them in their ears all day (doing what, listening to NPR or podcasts all day? like they can't just enjoy some silence and their own thoughts). I can't explain it but it gives me the ick. |
It's douchey. |
Not every fleeting thought you have needs to be posted online. |

Like yours? |
No this never occurred to me. I just figure people are listening to music/podcasts or talking on the phone. |
No, mine are always super interesting and highly educational for anyone who reads them. |
Would you rather they have whatever they are listening to just on speaker for everyone to hear? |
It's not a good look for anyone, in my opinion, but in the big scheme of things, it's a mere detail. |
It’s not quite as bad as vaping indoors but it’s up there. |
This. My nephew wears his all the time. So do my nieces. Is it only “ick” if male? Just don’t understand what’s “douchey” about it. When I see folks with them in all the time, I assume it’s because they want to limit interruptions or interactions with the masses. They silently say, “leave me alone”. |
Heaven forbid a man wear airpods to listen to music or an audiobook or podcast or whatever when it makes OP think he is less manly.
After all only women and children can enjoy listening to things. |
Exactly my thought! I wear AirPods when I walk so that I don't disturb others. I listen to audiobooks and am learning a language. If anyone wants to judge me, that's on them. |
How does it affect you at all? |
Oh jfc, you deserve to be alone until you die. |
