Biden's SOTU

A new Yahoo News/YouGov survey of 1,482 U.S. adults, conducted in the days immediately following Biden’s big speech, shows zero improvement in perceptions of the president — or in his standing against former President Donald Trump.

Before the State of the Union, Trump (45%) and Biden (44%) were statistically tied in a head-to-head 2024 matchup, according to the previous Yahoo News/YouGov poll from late January.

They remain tied today, with Trump at 46% and Biden at 44% — a gap that’s well within the poll’s margin of error (2.8%).

Before the speech, 40% of Americans approved of the job Biden was doing as president; 56% disapproved. Today, those numbers are 39% and 55%, respectively.

Well someone was excited enough to donate 10 million in 1 hour.

Again, polls are a tiny snapshot of a moment in time, and shaped by framing of question. I’m not saying to ignore polls, I’m just saying that they are ONE of many data points. So far, Dems are crushing in elections - Special & midterms, VA, etc. they are crushing donations, grassroots roots mobilizing is high. I’d rather be Biden than Trump.

I too would rather be Biden than Trump in this election due to there being more reasons not to vote for Trump than there are not to vote for Biden. Biden has a sizable advantage in the amount of cash raised to invest in his campaign and Dems in general have momentum on their side. This is a one of kind presidential election due to how unpopular both major party candidates are per the majority opinion of Americans. There is no precedent for how this may play out and both candidates will undoubtedly have more gaffes and low moments on the campaign trail but with all things considered, Biden is better positioned for success.

He already won against Trump. That is a real election with real voters in spite of all the vile lies spewed by trump. Take that to the bank over endless shifting polls.

I hear that but he's appearing WAY older now than he was then, has even clearer signs of mental decline than he did then, and is losing minority voters in droves over Gaza.

It is not like Trump is 45. He is basically the same age. Do we even know what Trumps view on Gaza is??

C'mon. Falling down again and again, shaking hands with ghosts, the way he walks, shuffles and his unsteady gait? The vocal flubs and outbursts.

No, Biden is on the way out. You know it. I know it. Don't try to dance around reality.

He told Netanyahu to “finish the job.” And that’s after Trump moved the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, among other things. Anyone pretending that Trump would be better for Palestine is a Republican - or spouting the propaganda created by Russia for the benefit of the GOP.

Trump is working hard to complete sentences these days. To be fair, he’s pretty successful many times.

Why is Joe Biden afraid of presidential debates?

Can't teleprompt your way out of those!

They never answer these questions.

There is another full thread on why people are choosing Trump. And, yes - it is a choice. And, an easy one for me.
What has Biden done that is hurting me and other Americans?
1. He has made an absolute disaster of the border resulting in a humanitarian crisis, and economic crisis, an environmental crisis, and most importantly, a national security crisis for all Americans.
2. He has mismanaged the economy by overspending and over regulation causing continued inflation and high prices.
3. He has been weak when it comes to national security and foreign relations. It began with the horrendous Afghanistan withdrawal which signaled to our adversaries that he is incapable of dealing with our adversaries in a strong manner.
4. As a result of his policies resulting in inflation, interest rates have more than tripled since Biden took office. This hurts all Americans who purchase homes, cars, and other goods.

This is just a start.

Don't pretend to care about the environment or any humanitarian crisis. Don't prepare to care about spending either. Also don't prepare to care about Afghanistan when Trump surrendered to the Taliban. And don't pretend to care about inflation when Trump is trumpeting his asinine tariff plan.

Yeah, no.... we are not going to ignore all of Biden's horrendous policies and actions.
Sorry. These are a reality.

NO, this is all RWNJ propaganda. You people are so gullible. And you will ruin our country with your ignorance.

Do you live in a state that's been significantly impacted and overwhelmed by the influx of undocumented migrants? I doubt it.
