"We must make America pray again"

Please listen when they spew ladies. While this is not in the released version of Project 2025, this guy speaks for what will come.

They are not kidding.

So now you know that divorce will be outlawed by Trump- even though Trump has never said he would outlaw divorce, and even though outlawing divorce is not in Project 2025?

You can’t admit you are a theatrical culture war 🤡, but it’s clear to everyone else.

You think men want to live in an America where divorce is outlawed? Nobody does, man or woman. You are so deep into your own delusional political fantasy bubble, d*mn.

It’s scary the way you say “hey ladies, this idea (outlawing divorce) has never even been proposed, but some guy said it, so it’s gonna happen!”

Do you really believe that? You believe Trump is going to make divorce illegal?

Here are some elected Republicans and ther legislative actions against no fault divorce, including Mike Johnson who claimed in a sermon “claimed it turned the United States into a “completely amoral society.”” https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/27/us/no-fault-divorce-explained-history-wellness-cec/index.html

Why do Republicans oppose no fault divorce and seek to make it illegal again? Because it gave women agency. Because it gave women rights. “Since 1969, studies have shown no-fault divorce correlates with a reduction in female suicides and a reduction in intimate partner violence. A 2004 paper by economists Betsey Stevenson and Justin Wolvers found an 8 to 16% decrease in female suicides after states enacted no-fault divorce laws. They also noted a roughly 30% decrease in intimate partner violence among both women and men, and a 10% drop in women murdered by their partners.” Emphasis mine.

Donald Trump’s brain is melting. He doesn’t give a rat’s about divorce or abortion, but he’ll happily push anything that gets him more adulation from the crowd. The fundamentalist crazies in the GOP, who don’t care about Jesus’s teachings but do care a lot about punishing women, actually want to go back to 1850. They think men should be able to divorce their wives - as you allude to without a trace of awareness that you’re tipping your hand - but that women should be locked in to a marriage.

Which is why I’m voting straight blue. Republicans are just too far gone.

The writer and attorney Beverly Willett, an opponent of no-fault divorce, has argued that “unilateral no-fault divorce clearly violates the 14th Amendment,” supposedly depriving defendants in divorce cases “of life, liberty, and property without due process of law.”

Hmmm, looks like a woman (gasp) has issues with no fault divorce.

She must either be an uppity woman or hate uppity women.

It’s so outrageous that culture vulture, white, upper middle class and upper class women want to designate themselves as being “uppity” to cast themselves as victims. They are so comfortable assuming a slur (uppity) that has historically been associated with racism against black people, and pretending they are being seen and categorized as “uppity” while nothing could be further from the truth.

Liberal white women are so used to their privilege and their power, they even take slurs from black people and pretend they are “victims,” while maintaining their privilege, power, and upper class financial status.

It’s sick.

Yes, Rs are trying to end no fault divorce: https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2023/09/no-fault-divorce-laws-republicans-repeal/675371/

Gives uppity women too many options.

Can any of his supporters explain? Which teaching of Jesus supports that kind of thing?

Thanks for clarifying.

Does she hawk bibles and say she owns many of them? Asking because that is relevant to the question. If she doesn’t pretend to be religious, and try to make money off the holy scriptures during Holy Week, then there is no hypocrisy posed by her posting a violent image, however despicable that might be (and yes I found it despicable). It was an action that has made me determined never to vote for her for political office.

You however seem to think there is nothing wrong with a man who claims to be a lover of all things Jesus who then shared—clearly with approval—an image of his political rival hog tied in the back of a truck. For what purposes? To laugh at the idea of his rival being brutalized or even killed? Wow. That doesn’t seem very Christian of him now, does it.

Only Christians are supposed to be decent people? Non-Christians can display as many severed heads and feed as many children into wood chippers as they wish!

Well, Trump has made all of us Christians who aren't conservative and actually follow the teachings of Jesus pray real hard. So I guess it's already worked.

So you are saying Trump made you a better Christian? Maybe that’s why some people think Trump’s doing God’s work- he’s making people pray more and actually follow Jesus. Is there anything this man can’t do?

I guess you concede that Republicans hope to make some forms of divorce illegal if they get into office.

Ha, Trump has made me pray more but he's making liberal Christians pray more, not MAGAs.

How would you know about MAGA prayer habits? Do you watch them? Aren’t you the creepy one.

Thanks for confirming Trump is not a "decent" person -- I totally agree!!! At least we have that common ground.

“All states currently have some version of a no-fault divorce law, but Republicans in Texas and Nebraska list the dissolution or restriction of no-fault divorce in their state party political platforms.

In Louisiana earlier this year, state GOP members debated officially backing the dissolution of no-fault divorce, but no decision was made. “
