OH M G - you just triggered a core memory. Where are there Schlotzky's? I used to go all the time in Arizona. Miss them so much. |
Yeah, I grew up on them in Texas and really miss them, too. There used to be one in DC near the zoo, but it closed years ago. I think they’re mostly out west and down south, which is why I thought people on long car trips might occasionally come across one. |
Nothing, it's all junk and poison. And if we're being frank it's being made by underclass of society who hate their jobs.
Starbucks egg bites are O.K. in an absolute pinch. |
This thread is delightfully unhinged!
I like: Wawa, Sheetz, Chik Fil A, Starbucks I get stomach aches from: Chipotle, Five Guys, Burger King I don't mind in a pinch: McDonald's, Jimmy John's, Panera My DH and kids will eat all of this. They're not picky, so I try to not be picky. We eat pretty healthfully at home. |
This thread is delightfully low class. I thought this forum was credentialed upper middle class on average, but it's never been more clear that a whole lot of unhealthy proles comment here. |
We are talking about 1-2 meals while on a road trip. Not a daily diet. |
Chik Fil A is garbage |
I love you broads LOL |
I ate at Cracker Barrel once - it was a work sponsored lunch thing so I had no choice in restaurants. My body completely revolted after eating there. The phrase "a river runs through it" came to mind that afternoon post-lunch there. Never again. |
I will stop at a burger place and order a couple of patty’s without a bun. Even if it conventional beef, it’s still cleaner than just about anything else you can order on the road. |
If it’s before 10:30, definitely egg McMuffins.
After that I usually look for a Sheetz or Wawa. A Jimmy John’s is good. Starbucks has not very appealing but nutritionally sound options too, the little boxes with cheese and fruit. There’s definitely a time and place for a burger, too. |
So the beautiful bowl of fruit sits on the console to be admired until you stop and they sit outside? This brings to mind a certain Thanksgiving thread some years ago |
Exercise shouldn’t be tied to whether or not you’ve eaten certain foods or too much. First it doesn’t make a huge difference and second that’s such a disordered attitude. |
You sound like the personification of striver. You think rich people give a F if McDonald’s is too low class? |
Honestly so is most sit down places both in terms of unhealthy and being made by the underclass of society. You must not eat out. |
