what are fast food options that you'll eat on the road?

Everything is fine, but I like Panera, Cracker Barrel and Olive Garden (come at me, don’t care) because you can technically get some decent vegetables there.

Middle eastern places everywhere are cheap and their rolls are pretty healthy.

I'll eat whatever. If there's a Bojangles or a Biscuitville that's a priority, but anything is fine.

Chick fil-A is my ride or die.

I usually like Wendy’s or Chick Fila.

We pack coolers with healthy food and repack the cooler with food and ice on stops. Lots of veggies and fruits, Greek yogurt and cheese/ meat. We try to avoid too many carbs in the car as activity is limited on those days. We do normally go for a family jog at lunch though before we eat. We park at a school/ neighborhood park and jog a couple miles then eat. It’s quite lovely. Our kids as young as 4 have done this.

One thing about Wendy's - I have been to a few that have no changing tables - not a fun surprise mid drive! I know people have lots of feelings about Chick fil a, but it is a great place to stop with kids. If I have time and there is one on the way I also love Cracker Barrel.

Only the peasants do “driving trips” in your world?

4-year-old: Mommy, can we eat now?

Mom: Not until you’ve done your two-mile jog, honey?

4-year-old: But mom, yesterday was leg day.

+1. Grab a McChicken and keep moving down the road.

There are some hysterically insufferable people on this thread.

Never change, DCUM!

Cracker Barrel can be a long wait but I like their rainbow trout and two vegetable sides as a dinner.

Walmart often has a prepared food department that's large enough to buy a ready to go, reasonably healthy picnic. Cold chicken, vegetable trays, individual milk jugs, salads that come with a fork packaged inside.

Panera half sandwich and cup of soup "You Pick 2" is a decent portion size.

In New York State and Ontario, I sometimes buy fruit cups and sandwiches from the convenience store at the turnpike/highway rest stops.

Tim Horton's usually has chicken noodle soup that can be paired with sandwiches.

At McDonalds, if I'm not too hungry, I order a hamburger Happy Meal to keep calories down.

Subway
Noodles & Company
Wawa for sandwiches

That's about it. We don't eat meat so don't do most fast food places.

Panerai, Bob Evans, Ihop

Occasionally a Waffle House if we're in the south.

Kids lean toward breakfast foods, dad some kind of meat, and mom an omelet

Stopped at a Cracker Barrel once, will never return: I don't meet the weight requirement. At least at the one we stopped at in the mid-west, you cannot enter unless you weigh 300 pounds 🤣

Starbucks for breakfast.
A fair amount of sodium in their breakfast sandwiches but most have a ton of protein and a few are pretty low in calories and they taste pretty decent.

Jimmy Johns.

McDonalds for last resort
