Agree with this, a list should have included low reaches and targets, not just high reach lottery schools and safeties

Why? UMD is about 30k. My kid is going to Ivy next year for 20k. We are in Montgomery County.

Rejected from Columbia, but in at Princeton! My kid is in a state of shock but is extremely happy and grateful. I am in a state of shock.

What a weird question. Many people want things they know they are unlikely to get, and are heartbroken when those things don't work out.

I don't have kids in college yet, but the NPC's for the Ivies come in significantly below the NPC's at UMD for us. We're a typical middle class family.
