Yard Sale to Benefit Friendship Place (a community service to the homeless)

On Saturday, September 13, from 10-2 pm, the Community of Christ Church at 3526 Massachusetts Ave. will hold its Ninth Annual Yard Sale/Bake Sale! We invite you to mark your calendars for the sale and also invite you to CONTRIBUTE to the sale by DONATING your saleable items to the church on Sunday, August 31 from 1:00 – 4:00 or Monday, Sept. 1 from 10:00-2:00 pm. We are accepting most useable items: furniture, household goods including small working appliances, books, children's toys and equipment. We are NOT selling clothing. If you need to arrange a different drop-off time, please contact Florence Gubanc at fgubanc@gmail.com or 703-598-4228. All proceeds from the sale will go to our partnership program with Friendship Place, a community service to the homeless. We’ll also have yummy baked goods and our lunch menu includes homemade barbeque (pulled pork, chicken and vegetarian). Mention this notice for a free cup of coffee. We hope to see you at the sale.
