Love & Resistance: A "Write Like a Mother" Virtual Gathering for DC-area Mom Writers
Thursday, February 20, 7:30-8:45 pm
Join us online for an evening of connection with other DMV writers who identify as mothers.
This virtual event will include a reading, mini open mic, and networking.
Share info about your current projects/challenges/successes, learn about upcoming events, and participate in a mini open mic.
Two featured readers will share selections from their new poetry collections. In purl and Dear Empire, Michele Evans and Holly Karapetkova explore issues of family, loss, race, violence and, yes, love and resistance.
This is the second event of the new DC-area chapter of Scribente Maternum, a community for writer-moms that organizes retreats and online workshops.
