The winter solstice marks the first day of winter, the year's longest night, and return of the sun.. and eventually, spring. In ancient cultures, it was cause for great fires, revelry and feasts. Our celebration will be family-friendly, but just as fun! Make New Year's wishes, light candles, make treats to share with animals, and roast chestnuts on an open fire!
