Hi all! Are you closely watching this year's election? Have you been alarmed by recent voter suppression techniques across the country that have stripped the right to vote from millions of eligible Americans? Do you want to help Get Out The Vote? If you answered yes to any of these questions, bring your family and friends to a documentary screening of Suppressed: The Fight to Vote at the Georgetown Day High School Library at 7 pm this Friday, February 28, a 35-minute film about Georgia's 2018 gubernatorial election that details the mass voter suppression that occurred. Following the screening will be a discussion facilitated by the Student Action Committee about nationwide voter registration and the ways we, as a local community, can actively engage in voting rights efforts. With the upcoming primaries and 2020 presidential election, our fight to vote is more important than ever! Hope to see you there, Maddie Feldman mfeldman22@gds.org
