Laura Doherty & The Heartbeats, Chicago’s kid folk-pop sensation, performs their first DC area show at the popular Tot Rock! Concert Series at Jammin’ Java on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11am. Tickets are $8 per person or $25 for a family 4-pack.
In this hour-long set, Doherty and her band will offer a fun-filled show guaranteed to get even the shyest wallflower to wiggle across the dance floor. It’s a rockin’ acoustic show with Doherty on guitar and vocals, Andrew Wilkins on bass, and Cat Tager on harmony vocals. Doherty tours nationally, and has performed hundreds of shows at premier venues and festivals across the country, including Chicago’s Old Town School of Folk Music, Ravinia, Lollapalooza, Nashville's Pilgrimage Fest and Philly’s World Cafe Live.
Most of the repertoire for the morning concert will be songs from Doherty’s four award-winning children’s CDs. You can also expect Laura to debut a couple of new songs from Laura’s forthcoming CD “High Five”, expected in 2018.
