The District School (TDS) will launch a Christ-centered school, beginning with kindergarten, first and second grades in 2024 in Ward 5 of Washington, DC. TDS will provide a vibrant and excellent, Christian education in a racially and socioeconomically diverse community open to all faiths. School tuition has a sliding scale to make it affordable for all families.
The District School has been built and informed by three years of community conversations and hopes and needs elevated by DC families. TDS draws inspiration from like-missioned schools nationwide, including The Oaks Academy in Indianapolis, Hope Academy in Minneapolis, Imago Dei in Richmond and The Cambridge School in Towson, which provide inspiring educations and where student outcomes exceed local and national averages. TDS will offer a liberal arts education with an emphasis on hands-on learning.
The District School has opened admissions, and invites you to join an open house on Monday, March 4th, 6-7:30p at Woodridge Neighborhood Library. Children's Activities will be provided.
