The Kensington Day of the Book Festival is one of the top literary events in the DC area. A family-friendly street festival, it is a celebration of books and authors, and includes live music, a main stage program, poetry readings, food trucks, children’s program, and more!

Held along Howard Avenue in Old Town Kensington, Md, over 100 local authors, book artists, publishers, literary groups and community organizations line the street to meet, greet, and sell their works. All activities are free and held rain or shine.
This year features music by The Nighthawks and The Rock-A-Sonics, special guest authors Martin Goldsmith, Chef Jonathan Bordzik, and Oleg Kalugin. Children's entertainers include The Great Zucchini and 1-2-3 Andres!
