In 2012, three D.C. moms, Julia Bozzolo, Jenny Decker, and Amal Disparte came together to create the Taste of H to raise funds for their kids’ school, J.O. Wilson Elementary School. Since its inception, Taste of H has raised more than $200,000.

With the continued success of Taste of H, Amal, Julia and Jenny realized that as their neighborhood grew, so should their commitment to all D.C. public schools. They have now created the GrantEd Foundation, a 501 c 3 organization, that provides DCPS teachers with a single go-to resource to fund nearly any classroom expense— and it's one they can tap into repeatedly.

GrantEd allows teachers to apply online for grants up to $500 – in under 15 minutes – revolutionizing the grant giving process and reducing obstacles for the educators with the greatest need.

This year, more than a dozen DC restaurants and distilleries including Stable, DC Harvest, Horace & Dickies, Sally's Middle Name, Sol, Queen Vic, Sospeso, Smith Commons, &Pizza, Dangerously Delicious Pies, Sticky Rice, Hill Prince, Republic Restoratives will participate in Taste of H.

Tickets are on sale now for $75, which covers tastings, drinks and entertainment. While this event benefits children, all attendees must be 21 or older. All proceeds will go to the GrantEd Foundation.
