Strut Your Mutt Bethesda

Bethesda is Going to the Dogs on May 17th! The 9th annual Strut Your Mutt Dog Parade and Festival will take place on Saturday, May 17th from 10am until 3pm along Norfolk Ave. between Woodmont Ave. and Cordell Ave. in Bethesda MD. There will be the always-popular dog parade (at 10:00am), as well as owner/dog contests, along with over 30 dog-related exhibitors, and a kiddie park, with moonbounces and games, to keep the kids entertained. This year the Bethesda Chevy Chase Rotary Club is partnering with DC Actors For Animals and there will be performances in the afternoon, and almost a dozen rescue groups will be present to offer education and information on training your dog and adopting rescue dogs. The event, being put on by the Bethesda Chevy Chase Rotary Club, is a fundraiser for its Foundation, which provides grants to service organizations that provide assistance to improve literacy and health both locally and internationally. This year the Montgomery County Humane Society is assisting the BCC Rotary Club and will receive a portion of the proceeds as well. To register go to www.strutyourmuttbethesda.org
