In just an hour, volunteers from the Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department will teach you the basics of lifesaving bleeding control, even if you've never had medical or first-aid training.  It's free! This is a basic first-aid class designed to offer live saving information and basic first aid skills. The "Stop the Bleed" class was developed after recent large-scale shooting and other violent incidents to provide the public with life saving skills prior to transport to a hospital. The skills can also be used for various smaller scale incidents such as hiking accidents, sporting accidents and kitchen incidents.
