At St. Columba’s Nursery School, we celebrate the joy and discovery of early childhood. In our inclusive community, children learn to make and be a friend, grow confident by taking “safe risks,” and explore the world with a spirit of curiosity and love. St. Columba's Nursery School has proudly been serving preschoolers in Tenleytown since 1959. We offer a range of program options, including Early Arrival which begins at 8:00am and Stay & Play which runs until 5:30pm to meet the various needs of our families.

Our phenomenal and experienced teaching staff support children's learning and engagement through rich, play-based programming. We prioritize time spent outdoors on our expansive playgrounds, which were recently renovated. We also believe in the importance of diversity and inclusion, and strive to enroll children with a range of abilities and from different backgrounds. We have financial assistance available for qualifying families. We believe that each child and family brings unique strengths to our school community and we hope that you will join ours! We serve children ages 2-5 and offer small class sizes that allow us to get to know each child well and individualize our supports.
