St. John’s Episcopal School is hosting a fun FREE morning with STEAM activities, including presentations from MAD SCIENCE and REPTILES ALIVE, plus a Theatre Workshop from our very own OASIS! St. John’s Episcopal School is hosting a fun morning filled with STEAM activities, including presentations from MAD SCIENCE and REPTILES ALIVE, plus a Theatre Workshop from our very own OASIS (Olney Arts School in a School)! All children aged 5-13 are welcome to attend, but YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT. The morning schedule is: 9:30 – 10:30 - OASIS Theatre workshop (grades 2-4 and parents who would like to participate) 10:30 - 11:30 - OASIS Theatre workshop (grades 5-8) The St. John's OASIS (Olney Arts School In a School) program will present a workshop in improvisation by local actress Lynne Childress of BUILDING BETTER PEOPLE PRODUCTIONS. Students will have fun with drama games while learning character education. OASIS Director, Andrew Baughman, will be on hand to meet with parents about our OASIS Theatre Program (grades 5-8) and the new OASIS JR Program (grades 3-4). 10:30 – 11:30 – Reptiles Alive (age 5 - 13) Reptiles Alive will present a wildly exciting and educational live animal show! This live animal show is fun for all ages. 11:30-12:30 – Mad Science (age 5 - 13) Spectacular Science – Explore the scientific process with this exciting show. Learn the science behind magic, explore air pressure, and see spectacular indoor fireworks. Discover the secret behind sublimation with our bubbling potions. Your child is welcome to attend any or all of the events listed, but you MUST register prior to May 12.
