In this workshop, children along with their parents, will learn how to act aware, calm and confident; how to take charge and get help. In addition, children will learn how to set clear and appropriate boundaries, how to stop unwanted touching and teasing and how to protect themselves from name calling and hurtful words. This workshop will include physical self-defense and will begin with extensive practice in many other skills that can prevent, avoid, leave or de-escalate problems before they become physical. Our goal is to empower young children with the full range of skills they deserve.

Fee: $39 per child (parents are free) with 7 days advanced registration and payment, $49 within 7 days of workshop To register: www.dcimpact.org

DC IMPACT is a 501(c)3 nonprofi that offer full-force self defense training for adults, teens and children in a safe, supportive and age-appropriate environment. We teach a repertoire of simple and effective verbal, physical, and psychological strategies through individual and partner practice, drills, and scenarios with male instructors in padded gear (for older children, teens and adults). Classes are small to ensure that each student can receive individualized attention from the teaching staff.
