Design, fabricate, and launch kites or parachutes with a sewing machine! Participants are introduced to hand machine sewing and follow patterns using flight ready technical fabrics. Sewing is prefect for rapidly prototyping ideas, computational thinking, and problem solving. Each participant has their own sewing machine and tool set- no sharing and lots of individual attention! All participants take home an original sky-tested project, sketchbook, and patterns for further exploration. Presented by FutureMakers. Registration required.
