A week of fun, hands-on, and targeted reading instruction designed to strengthen skills, boost confidence, and empower parents with strategies that last.

McLean School is offering a Spring Break Literacy Boost (Monday, March 30-Thursday, April 2) for students enrolled in Grades 2-4
Small structured literacy support with groups of 2 or 3 students for long-term skill building and confidence.
Additional work with comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency with approximately 6 students.
Building a “Reading Toolbox” of strategies, games, take aways to use to support your child with reading in the future.
Taught by highly-skilled Reading Specialists, K-4 Coordinator of Learning Services, and teachers trained in Orton-Gillingham through IMSE.
A brief prescreener will help ensure thoughtful groupings.
An optional parent conversation with our faculty to better understand structured literacy and how to support reading at home.
Take-home tools families can continue using after the session ends.
