For those too old to trick-or-treat, District Wharf, along with On Tap Magazine and Cantina Marina, is hosting Pumpkin Palooza on Saturday, October 22 from 1 to 4pm at Gangplank Marina Park – 600 Water Street SW. A seasonal beer garden and festival, Pumpkin Palooza will offer craft beer tastings, food from Cantina Marina and King Ribs and a great autumn afternoon on the waterfront with music by the Wil Gravatt Band. Pumpkin-themed mayhem will continue throughout the day with a Pumpkin Bowling Competition, Pumpkin Pie Extravaganza, Clash of the Headless Horsemen, Spooky Lantern Challenge and a Pet Costume Contest. Prizes will be awarded by Cantina Marina after each activity. The event is FREE and open to the community. Located within four blocks from the L’ Enfant Plaza and Waterfront Metrorail stations, there will be no event parking at The Wharf. Guests are encouraged to take public transportation and will receive door prizes for walking, using Capital Bikeshare, or arriving by bus or Metro.
