Pilates for New Moms

Description: When you’re a new mom, trying to squeeze in a  shower between feedings and diaper changes can seem daunting, never mind  trying to fit in a trip to the gym! However, the postpartum body is not only  recovering from childbirth but also from hormone-induced loose joints and  stretched-out abdominals, and it is vital for new moms to devote some precious moments to their health and  well-being.

When  working toward regaining stability, strength, and body awareness it is crucial  to perform the correct exercises that safely engage the core. Postnatal Pilates offers a safe, effective, and progressive means  of reforming the body, and the exercises can be done at home!

This  Pilates for New Moms class will start from the basics so, even if you are new to Pilates, you will be able to follow  along. The class will progress through  therapeutically modified Pilates exercises that will systematically strengthen, tone, and restore muscle balance of the  abdominals, pelvic floor, and back and hip muscles, while promoting correct  movement patterns for proper posture.

Leave the little ones at  home, bring your mat and workout attire, and come join a group of moms  interested in rediscovering their  core.
