Parenting on Purpose: Tools and Techniques for Effective Parenting

The George Washington University Parenting Initiative will host a conversation with Deborah L. Tillman, star of the Lifetime Television program “America’s Supernanny.” The discussion, “Parenting on Purpose: Tools and Techniques for Effective Parenting,” will include advice on raising children in today's society. Ms. Tillman also will answer questions from the audience. Following the conversation, the GW Parenting Initiative will host a tour of its new space in the GW Colonial Health Center.

The George Washington University Parenting Initiative will host a conversation with Deborah L. Tillman, star of the Lifetime Television program “America’s Supernanny.” The discussion, “Parenting on Purpose: Tools and Techniques for Effective Parenting,” will include advice on raising children in today's society. Ms. Tillman also will answer questions from the audience. Following the conversation, the GW Parenting Initiative will host a tour of its new space in the GW Colonial Health Center. Deborah L. Tillman is a parent educator, speaker, author, founder and CEO of Happy Home Child Learning Centers, Inc., in Northern Virginia and “America’s Supernanny” on Lifetime Television. Ms. Tillman’s mission is to transform parents and encourage them to be the best they can be. Ms. Tillman has a master's degree in early childhood special education from GW. The GW Parenting Initiative strives to provide a model program of parenting education, support and research at GW, and to share the various components of the program with other universities and academic communities in the United States and around the world. The GW Parenting Initiative is housed within GW’s Colonial Health Center, which provides high quality, affordable care and resources to students.
