Experience Abraham Lincoln's White House as an office, a home, and a place of ceremony. At the White House, President Lincoln opened the door to Americans seeking his help, made careful decisions with the assistance of his cabinet, hosted ceremonial events, and experienced both joyful and tragic moments with his family. The White House Historical Association will tell the stories of the Lincoln White House through a special exhibition re-creating Lincoln’s office, kid-friendly activities, and historical reenactment opportunities for the whole family! Activities include attending a reception hosted by Lincoln himself, a scavenger hunt for Lincoln family pets, a reenactment of the events surrounding the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, and much more.
Free and open to the public
