O Museum in The Mansion and the London-based Robert James Studio are thrilled to announce the upcoming "Through the Looking Glass Exhibition," a captivating showcase of unforgettable characters from Lewis Carroll's beloved book series and an array of classic children's literature favorites. Dress in your best or cocktail attire OR as your favorite Alice in Wonderland character and join us as we unveil our newest exhibit in our Secret Gardens. Meet the sculptor James Coplestone, Tour our 100-room Mansion, and search for secret doors. ABOUT THE ARTIST James Coplestone has been making artworks of various kinds for nearly 30 years. Living in the rolling hills of West Dorset, England, his sculptures, based upon his love of literature are taking shape. Classic illustrations were modeled in clay and then turned into bronze. He uses old tools and fingerprints to press, move and model clay into position to capture the breath of the character... as if they have momentarily stepped out of the book into the three-dimensional world. Robert James Studio has been awarded 5 Gold Stars three times at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show. ———————— Before the opening take a journey around our 100-room mansion to search for secret doors, immersive rooms, and unique exhibits. Children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Proceeds support our arts & social justice programs. Reservations are required to attend the opening night event (www.omuseum.org/alice).
