Participate in a scavenger hunt in the historic area and discover locations and ingredients that were important to ice cream production. After finding the ingredients, observe how ice cream was produced in George Washington’s time while learning about the history and science behind ice cream production at Mount Vernon. Guests can help make ice cream using 18th-century methods and enjoy modern ice cream and lemonade at the conclusion of the program.
