The Montgomery County Friendship Picnic is an opportunity for the community to gather for a free afternoon filled with fun, food and entertainment. Scheduled for Sunday, September 17th from 1:00 -5:00 p.m. at Wheaton Regional Park, more than 2,000 county residents are expected to attend.
Our diverse and inclusive community makes Montgomery County one of the best places in American to live, work, worship, play and learn. In this time of divisive rhetoric that has become pervasive nationwide, this is an opportunity to bring together people from all walks of life and backgrounds, different religious and interfaith groups, a broad variety of ethnic, cultural and racial groups and members of the LGBTQ community. We are one community and all residents of Montgomery County are invited to be a part of this special day.
We hope you will come and enjoy great food and live entertainment along with your family, neighbors, faith members and employees. With County Executive Isiah Leggett, members of the Montgomery County Council and other elected officials on hand, you can be sure this will be a memorable event for everyone!
Our local business community reflects the diversity of our population and we sincerely hope that you will consider providing financial or in-kind support for this great event.
Join Us for a FREE Fun-Filled Afternoon. This event is endorsed and supported by the Montgomery County Committee on Hate/Violence (COHV), Office of Human Rights and the Human Rights Commission.
