Plan to join the adoption community on Saturday, March 20 from 1-2:30 PM ET for a special event: “ Meet & Greet with Colombian Barker Adoptee & Author, Mariela Andersen!” In her book “Home Sweet Casa: A Journey to the Universal Heart” Mariela shares her story of searching for her birth family and her journey in reuniting with them in Colombia. Hearing others' stories can be powerful in helping adoptees, adopted parents, and birth parents work through the layers of the adoption journey that focuses on identity and sense of self. Participants will not only hear Andersen speak to her own journey but will also be able to submit questions of their own.
