Ulrich is a regular performer in the DC improv scene featured in the troupes King Bee, Nox! and Jive Turkey. He studied improvisational comedy at the Uprights Citizens Brigade and The Magnet Theater in New York, Improv Olympic and Annoyance Theater in Chicago and Los Angeles, and the Washington Improv Theater and DC Improv in Washington.
This master class will explore collaboration, trust and being in the moment for improv performers. Participants will learn a number of games you can play just about anywhere, learn how to develop scenes, create characters within seconds, and learn exercises to help create "group mind" to better work and act together. Expect a high energy and active session! No improv experience is required, but it is designed for 9th-12th graders who are on an improv team, who are involved in theatre or are interested in improvisation.
