By learning about seasonality, the labor of planting seeds, and how gardens were depicted in the Federal period, Girl Scouts and children from the general public will appreciate where their food comes from and recognize the importance of gardens in the past and the present. Registration includes a tour of the house, a garden activity booklet, and a real planting to take home!

By learning about seasonality, the labor of planting seeds, and how gardens were depicted in the Federal period, Girl Scouts and children from the general public will appreciate where their food comes from and recognize the importance of gardens in the past and the present. Registration includes a tour of the house, a garden activity booklet, and a real planting to take home!
Register for a time slot and if your child is a Girl Scout, she will complete all the necessary steps to earn her Gardener Badge! (She will receive a Dumbarton House patch, but we do not provide the badges.)
For this in-person program, masks are required and capacity will be limited.
