The 2023 Greater Washington, D.C. Regional Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS) will be held on February 25, 2023 at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. JSHS is designed to challenge, engage, and publicly recognize high school students (grades 9-12) conducting research in the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

High school students must submit an abstract and research paper by January 21, 2023 to participate in the event. There is no cost to register or participate. Selected students will have the opportunity to present their research efforts before a panel of judges and an audience of peers to win undergraduate, tuition-based scholarships up to $2,000. The top five finalists will be invited to advance to the National JSHS for additional scholarships.
Please encourage your high school students to participate and submit their work by January 21, 2023.
