First Night Klezmer Concert

by admin last modified Dec 12, 2013 12:20 PM
Join us for a family-friendly afternoon as we usher in the New Year with a special Klezmer concert with acclaimed band, Machaya. European Jewish immigrants in the late 19th century brought Klezmer music with them to Washington. Our historic 1876 synagogue, founded by mostly German immigrants, once housed services, prayer, and music in Yiddish. Help us welcome Yiddish back to the building with refreshments and a sparkling cider toast!
