Bring your family to connect with each other and nature through fun and simple mindfulness practices. We will learn hands-on activities that can help kids and parents relieve stress, increase concentration and confidence, and deal with difficult emotions. Among these activities is the art of "flower watering," a practice of sharing our appreciation for each other. Learn how your family can develop a strong foundation of mindfulness that can support your lives together. This workshop is a unique opportunity to learn from a dharma teacher who has 14 years of experience teaching mindfulness practices to kids and families in the Plum Village community. Sister Jewel leads mindfulness retreats and programs worldwide, and she is the editor of the book, Planting Seeds: Practicing Mindfulness with Children. Children ages 6-12 are invited to attend with their adult family member(s). Limited scholarships are available.
