Family-Friendly Used Clothing Drive Volunteer Opportunity

Gifts for the Homeless (GFTH) is hosting it's annual Used Clothing Drive, one of the largest clothing drives in the DC region. We receive thousands of bags of used clothing from various "feeder drives," and hundreds of volunteers of all ages come together during the weekend to help sort the donations and then bag them up so that we can deliver to dozens of shelters and homeless services organizations across DC, Maryland and Virginia. This has been a fantastic and fun event for over a decade, and offers volunteers of all ages an opportunity to give back to those most in need during this holiday season. (Children are welcome to volunteer, but those under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.) The citywide sorting and delivery efforts will take place 8am-6pm on Friday, December 8, and Saturday, December 9, at 3007 Tilden Street, NW in Washington, DC.
