Discover buildings! This walking tour for children will take a hands-on approach to learning about architecture in the vibrant Penn Quarter neighborhood. On the tour, participants will learn new terms like keystone, cornice, pilaster, pediment, portico, and many more architectural features that make up buildings.
This event will start and end at District Architecture Center where there will be a hands-on activity incorporate what was learned during the tour into building a cardboard building after the tour. Parents are invited to join the tour and participate in the building process. Participants can take their creations home after the event.
