Celebrate 200 years of Frederick Douglass’s life and legacy at the National Park Service's annual Community Day - Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 12 pm to 4 pm - held at Frederick Douglass National Historic Site in Anacostia, Washington D.C.
Fun for the whole family! Practice yoga, play outdoor games, learn how to drill like a Civil War soldier, make arts & crafts, tour Frederick Douglass's historic home, and check in with local organizations that serve our community. Live entertainment will provided by East of the River Steelband and Bill Haymon & the New Jazz Collective. Actor Darius Wallace will be reenacting Douglass's famous speech, "Self Made Man!"
