In partnership with Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC), KID Museum presents China Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, Zhongqiujie. The Mid-Autumn Festival celebrates the harvest season associated with the full moon. According to legend, Moon Rabbit lives on the moon with the moon goddess. Nowadays, people celebrate by gathering for dinner outdoors, hoping for a glimpse of Moon Rabbit’s shadow on the full moon, and enjoying a Chinese delicacy, mooncakes. Join us to make mooncakes, build traditional Chinese toys, learn the Chinese zodiac, watch traditional performances and more!
