To coincide with National Eating Disorder Awareness Month, Rock Creek Therapy is hosting a free virtual workshop: Challenging Diet Culture: A Road Map to Body Acceptance Join us for a comprehensive presentation on how to begin healing our relationship to our bodies. Together we will explore common misconceptions perpetuated by diet culture about health, weight, and our bodies. Attendees will deepen their understanding of weight inclusivity and food flexibility. Participants will learn the benefits of intuitive eating and joyful movement. This workshop will provide practical applications for participants to begin incorporating these new perspectives into their lifestyles. Dana Kippen, LGPC, brings extensive experience working with clients of diverse backgrounds and ages, addressing disordered eating, body image concerns, and co-morbid mental health disorders. Dana prioritizes Health at Every Size-aligned care, practicing from a fat-positive and weight-neutral approach. With a focus on body acceptance, intuitive eating, and food freedom, Dana has guided numerous clients toward recovery from eating disorders, drawing from both personal and professional experience.
