This Fourth of July, join the Friends of the Soldiers' Home and the Armed Forces Retirement Home — the oldest retirement home for enlisted veterans in the country — for a community celebration honoring the day, the veterans who call AFRH home, and this year's milestone: the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Bring the whole family for an evening of food, music, and unbeatable views. Grab a bite from a stacked lineup of local favorites — Capt. Cookie, The Hitching Post, Kona Ice, Timber Pizza, Rocklands BBQ, Tender Rib, Tea Love Boba, and City-State Beer.
**Activities & Entertainment:**
- Catch-and-release fishing at the pond with the Nam Knights
- Free kids' activities on the golf driving range
- Live music from rock 'n' roll band Mars Rodeo
- DJ Billy White, "The Music Man," keeping the energy up all night
- A special performance by the Farmington Utah High School Marching Band
**Schedule Highlights:**
- **6:00 PM** — Children's Bike Parade through the grounds sponsored by the Petworth Peanuts
- Followed by a special reading of the Declaration of Independence, marking 250 years since its signing
- As night falls, enjoy a front-row seat to the National Mall fireworks from AFRH's historic grounds
