Each year, McLean School gathers both nationally-celebrated and community-based experts on learning and development for a symposium highlighting new research and best practices in fostering growth for K-12 students. Cecily's Advocacy Conference, now in its 10th year, has grown as a key resource for the Washington metro area. Plan to join for hands-on, practical strategies for success and immediate use.

Hosted by McLean School and the McLean School Parents Association, Cecily’s Advocacy Conference is one of the Washington, DC area’s preeminent Conference geared to over 300 educators, parents, counselors, educational testers, and others who support, work with, or wish to gain additional knowledge about topics pertaining to student learning and success. With an emphasis on students with learning challenges but geared to provide information and resources to support all students, the Conference brings together nationally recognized keynote and workshop presenters along with those more locally known.
We are excited to welcome Keynote Speaker, Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee, Outreach Specialist, who will present on "Parenting with Identity in Mind" and "Talking to Youth About Identity, Difference and Justice."
Attendees will learn tips, tools, and strategies as well as gain information to assist children in their emotional growth and academic development. A certificate of attendance is provided for those who seek documentation for submission to their home institutions for continuing education credit.
Registration includes Continental Breakfast, Opening Keynote Speaker, Two Breakout Workshop Sessions, Lunch, and a Closing Keynote Speaker.
